Tomorow Is Hate Reagan Day

Most human beings feel sick just at his name. The ones who don't maynot actually be human, just because of that. But, anyway, tomorrow isHate Reagan Day because we still pay the price for eight years of hisawful presidency. Those eight years unfolded like a car crash in slow motion. Every yearsomething amazingly destructive would come along in a sort of chainreaction, compiling event after event. There is almost nothing Reagantouched that didn't fall apart shortly after. Reagan styled himselfthe end of big government. What the USA got was a free run ofcorporations gone wild, and a government ran by people whose ethos wasgovernment is wrong. And it did not end until Reagan became undeniablyfeeble and no longer in touch with the empire of corruption he hadinspired. In response to questions about his illegal efforts in Iran-Contra, Reagan was reduced to a bewildered mental care patient. But legends don't need facts, and they do well with embellishmentsover time. Reagan remains the stand-in for God in among the GOP whouse the Reagan name to shield themselves from being held to any actualstandards of conduct. Including those piles of crap Cheney and Bush. That is why tomorrow is Hate Reagan Day, and I hope you will join me.Whether you hack up a loogey with his name, or flip a bird in hisgeneral direction, I'll be there with you.
