McCain's So-Called Military Credentials

What the heck is so damn impressive, anyway? He made it to fighter pilot during a time the Navy needed a lot of pilots. That is good. He was shot down or forced down. Not exactly impressive, but certainly harrowing. He spent five years as a prisoner of war in horrendous conditions. This earns him some credentials, but not a whole lot. After that he has beat his breast one election after another shaming everyone into praising his greatness, because he was a POW. Thats it. Now take for example General Wesley Clark who was excoriated in the Press for not bowing down to McSame's greatness. Clark served several tours of duty in Vietnam, lead men into battle over and over, has three Purple Hearts from battle wounds, rose to the rank of General, and ascended to the postion of SACEUR or Supreme Allied Commander Europe for all you who don't know the acronyms. In that position he held sway over all NATO militaries, he treated with all the NATO member nations, presidents, vice presidents, ambassadors, he had to have travelled extensively through all of Europe, he studied adversaries, tactics, you name it, Clark did it.
So you want to talk military credentials? Mcsame has nothing on Clark.
