Reality Crushing Bush Gang Resolve

Long ago, our little Junta known as the Bush-Cheney Gang, (although reality dictates they should really be called the Cheney-Bush Gang), resolved to never treat with Iran or Syria, (especially over their misbegotten and failed Iraq War) and never to agree to give anything to North Korea in exchange for Pyongyang's cooperation on anything. The latter (possibly the former as well) was part of their ABC (Anything But Clinton) policy of how to conduct foreign policy.

My, my, my, how times have changed, and doesn't reality bite you extra-extra hard following your years of reality denial? The Bush-Cheney Gang is now in full reversal mode. They will now negotiate with Syria on Iraq, they will now negotiate with Iran on Iraq, and they have signed off on fuel deals for North Korea based on an agreement which hinges on Pyongyang's long term cooperation and honesty to not further develop nuclear weapon technologies.

Yes, reality has bitten a big chunk off Bush's butt and that is a good thing. Too bad it came at the price of tens of thousands dead, hundreds of billions gone, and an already nuclear tipped North Korea.

2007 catch-up

Sorry I've been gone so long. Got married, moved in to our new house, plenty of things going on as you, dear Blog, can imagine.

Nothing has gotten any better concerning our occupation of Iraq, only worse. The number of American dead is now well over 3,100 with nothing good to show for it but the removal of a virtually toothless tyrant.

Not much is better in our nation's capital either. Democrats have made some progress fighting the Junta but not much.

On the bright side it is has become nearly impossible for the Junta to be believed on anything anymore. Every day evidence of their lies and incompetencies are exposed to the light of day via the mainstream media, opinions, blogs, and so on. For example, although still wretchedly dupliticious, the WaPo published an excellent account of a Bush news conference which left little room for doubt here was a president desperate to hide the truths, twisting, squirming, gladhanding, and lying, just to survive one news conference intact.

The Libby trial now awaits a verdict. Libby is the highest ranking WH person to be charged in Federal Court in many decades. A guilty verdict, uphel on appeal or not, will rock this Junta gang even more.

All for now.
