How Do We Fight?

Someone please explain how we fight willful ignorance? Explain the solution to me because this is what we are up against.

It is willful ignorance to believe Islam threatens us. It is willful ignorance to think military strength can solve anything great issues. Willful ignorance is all some need to believe the USA cannot provide our people with good health care. Willful ignorance convinces huge numbers of Americans to vote for the candidate with the greatest degree of bluster, or, as we have learned, the greatest swagger. It is ignorance, it is deception.

We have newspapers, news magazines. We have nightly news, cable news, radio news. We abound with libraries filled with information. Yet, like dullards we wait for the easiest explanations, phrased in the most visceral terms, delivered to us in under 30 seconds lest we grow bored.

Do we fight this willful ignorance besetting so many of our sisters and brothers?

I conclude with only one choice; fight we must. For we are not Sweden. We are not Switzerland, not Philippines, Australia, or Sierra Leone. What we do here impacts the world and we have to get it right. Ignorance is the enemy, information is our friend. Spread it wide amd dispell the ignorance of wilfull deception.
