Letter To Senator Herb Kohl

Dear Senator:
Your vote last week in support of Senator Cornyn's resolution condemning MoveOn.org's ad in the NY Times has disturbed me greatly and truly calls into question your suitability as senator from Wisconsin.

It is because of weak-kneed Democrats such as yourself Republicans, even with their litany of malfeasances, crimes, lies, and the unnecessary deaths of 3,800 US solders, are still able to run this country to the liking of Bush, Cheney, and Cornyn types while hard working Democrats like Senator Feingold waste their efforts fighting the stone wall of the pro-war, pro-Bush minority to which you have again now lent great support.

I sincerely suggest the responsibility of representing Wisconsin on the very important matter of ending US troop losses in Iraq is too much for you to handle. Please resign from office so Governor Doyle can then appoint someone better qualified.

Sincerely,
Lawrence R. Berg

Witness The Crumbling Of Bush

From the outright lies in his 2000 campaign debates against Al Gore, to the Iraq War propaganda campaign, George Bush and Karl Rove could always count on a great deal of support from a compliant Media. Finally, it seems these days are coming to an end. On the morning news yesterday even Bob Schieffer had enough. To paraphrase; Schiefer pronounced Bush's "Troop reduction" plan as a fraud. Schieffer made clear the troops must be returned home anyway. Bush has no other choice except Draft or extend tours of duty. The truth is he can do neither one making troop strength reduction a foregone conclusion.

Then today even the fence-straddling Associated Press signals they have had enough. Under the headline of "Bush Hopes To Buy Time for Iraq Strategy" the article lays bare the failure of BushWar plain and simple, for all to read. it is a good article. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070913/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iraq

These examples, and so many more like them signal the wall of propaganda surrounding the Bush White House is crumbling. Rove is gone, Snow is leaving, only Bush and Cheney are left with a handful of their Vulcan cohorts. it is about time. ~L

What If A Democrat Was President Next Tuesday?

And if after SIX YEARS as Commander-in-Chief, had still failed this miserably in bringing Osama bin Laden to justice, or, as our fearless Decider once said, bring justice TO OBL. Imagine the shouts of "Failure" that would ring out from the mouths of GOPigs, and their Media minions everywhere, on every September 11th.
Will we even hear one such voice Tuesday? Or will we hear only Gen. Petraeus defending his "Surge" plan before a Congress frightened to appear disrespectful of a General sent by Bush to promote a lie of success. It's a rhetorical question. ~L

Will The Junta Attack Iran Soon?

Watch for an all-out media blitz by the Junta demonizing Iran to an "ATTACK NOW " status. I certainly hope to be wrong here and our Junta is only bluffing, but there is a lot of talk going on now the Junta believes just marginal public war support from the Right places is enough to carry them through, and into a whole new war. I strongly suggest that if this media campaign materializes we all immediately begin a barrage of emails to our elected officials, to the Media,to newspapers, etc.
An American attack on Iran may seem like madness and may seem impossible, but this is the Cheney-Bush Junta in charge, not a typically stable, sane presidency at all. L
