On This July Fourth

On this July Fourth let us not forget the men who declared independence from England did so to become free from tyranny and to create a new nation based on the concept of liberty and justice for all.

Upon signing the Declaration of Independence, these men became traitors to their flag. Upon signing the document, these men set themselves apart from those fellow colonists faithful to the Crown. Each man put his head through the noose the moment he signed his name. But they did it because they dreamed that through hard work, rebellion, war and death, the United States of America could become a land England was not. A land where liberties would be expanded and protected. Where safeguards in government would prevent tyranny. And where family dynasties would not rule with arrogant hubris over the common man. I believe their dreams have suffered greatly, and especially since the Bush Dynasty has come to grips on this land.

On this July Fourth let us think of those brave men and let us contemplate the restoration of their dreams. And then on July fifth, let us get back to the work of undoing the harm their dreams have suffered since January 20, 2001.

Bob Schiefer: Ultimate Media Whore

I had to see it to see it twice for it to sink in. The first instance put me in denial. No way, it just can't be. But then I saw it again and realized it was actually happening. Bob Schiefer whoring for Katie Couric.

Actual promo spots of Bob Schiefer whoring himself on behalf of Katie Couric taking over as CBS News anchor. I felt sick. Couric has been one of the worst Media Whores for years. She is nothing more than a spineless, self-aggrandizing Corporate Media Whore who shills for the Cheney-Bush Gang every chance she gets.

What makes it even worse is Schiefer is so close to retirement that his agreeing to these promo ads brands him as an Ultimate Media Whore.

Hillary Clinton Not For President

The subject of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid is circling around the MSM again. I have only one thing to say on the subject today: Senate Majority Leader Hillary Clinton.

Freed from national aspirations and unbeholden to the Middle Ground voters who are also known as the Great Undecideds or, more accurately, the Pay Little Attentions, Hillary can become a Progressive again and really shake things up as Majority Leader.

Now if she just sees things my way we'll get along just fine.

David Safavian Guilty David Safavian Guilty

Some Justice was served today. Abramoff croney and benefactor of Tom DeLay, David Safavian was found guilty in Court of lying to investigators to protect his, and other, necks. His lies were useless because his (their) crimes were just plain too big to hide forever. he cheated too many people out of too much money and bought too much influence with too much money.

Now let Justice be done for Abramoff and DeLay, and Ney, and the whole rest of the GOP Criminal Party until they are purged clean and can become at least a halfway respectable political party.

Wisconsin's Other Senator

Yes, America! We do need a Wisconsin president, finally, for our nation. That president is named Senator Russ Feingold. Cross all fingers, toes, hold on and pray if you're the praying kind.

But even Wisconsin has another senator. This one is named Herb Kohl and the Republicans haven't challenged him in years. (They go all-out against Feingold). Herb Kohl has the kind of money even Repulicans respect and they tend to leave him alone. Herb is no firebrand populist.
Herb actually voted yea on the despicable "bankruptcy reform act". But Herb does have a heart somewhere in his small frame and sometimes he actually uses it.

S, until someone better comes along, which had better be soon as Herb is not getting any younger, I will support Herb for reelection and I hope you do too.

Has anyone else noticed the New Karl Rove is Carl Zinsmeister, new political strategist for the Cheney-Bush White House? Although not as behind the scenes as Reichmarshall Rove, Zinsmeister is equally as outlandish and revolting. Watch for his name. On an empty stomach, please.

His latest whopper is his support for jailing doctors who have the unmitigated audacity to perform an abortion. How will the Media react? I wonder. Will they report our Nation's White House is again home to another policy maker at odds with our Constitution and the law of the land? Or will they just steno today's Snowjob and go on to the cocktail party circuit tonight?

My guess is the Bacardi.

New Blog From Old Wisconsin

Greetings:

Concerning Wisconsin I hope you have noticed something important, besides cheese and the Packers. We did not send our Electoral College votes to the Cheney-Bush Gang. Not in 2004, not in 2000. We have fought to keep two things going; sanity based government, and fair elections.
And the fight goes on, my friends, the fight goes on.

If you do nothing else at all concerning the national elections of 2006 or 2008, fight to keep them fair. Do this because there are many, many people scheming to steal or thwart your vote.

This is a critical issue purposely ignored and/or downplayed by politicos and the media.

Well, no more my friend, no more. The issue is picking up steam, the awareness of rampant election theft and chicanery is growing across the land. It took a Rolling Stone article to finally give it the push needed. But there is plenty more out there. Congressman John Conyers has published a report detailing the 2004 Ohio election theft and Mark Crispin Miller has published extensively on the subject. And I am helping.
